Rihanna surprised her fans with an unexpected appearance at the Girls Love Karaoke event in New York City. Clips of the pop sensation performing her hit tracks quickly went viral on social media, sparking a wave of reactions from fans. Many, including Justin Bieber, who couldn’t watch her impromptu performance, were disappointed. Bieber recently shared a post on social media expressing his surprise at Rihanna’s surprise performance and his regret at missing it.

Justin Bieber reacted to Rihanna’s impromptu performance by reposting a video of her singing that night on his Instagram Stories. He captioned the video, “Missed seein you sing Queen,” adding crown and other emojis. According to fan-shared footage, Rihanna performed hits from her 2016 album Anti, including “Needed Me”.

Despite telling fans she only had five minutes left and that her “battery” was “about to burn out,” Rihanna made sure to entertain the crowd, engaging with everyone and having a blast. Some fans called it the “Best Karaoke Night Ever,” while others expressed admiration and love for the pop icon.

Meanwhile, Rihanna sparked concern among her fans last year with rumours about her potential retirement. The speculation gained traction when she was spotted wearing an intriguing outfit — a blue, short-sleeved T-shirt with the message, “I’m Retired. This is as dressed up as I can get.”

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Rihanna quickly refuted the rumours, clarifying that she had no plans to retire. “People got triggered by that retired word. They were like, ‘We’re never getting an album now.’ It was the other line that read, ‘This is as dressed up as I get’,” she said, adding, “I’m not retired. I just like that dress. I got it as a gift, and I loved it. They didn’t read the second line, which means I’m not retired; I’m just retired from dressing up — it’s a lot of effort.”

It’s been over eight years since Rihanna dropped an album, though she has released a few songs, such as ‘Lift Me Up’ from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’ Her last album, ‘Anti,’ came out in 2016, and fans have eagerly awaited new music since then. The extended hiatus has sparked rumours that Rihanna may be stepping away from her music career for good.
