Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid was quick to congratulate her co-star during Tuesday’s show. After reading the latest headlines with Ed Balls, they turned to weather star Alex Beresford.
Susanna said: “Congratulations Alex and with love…” Interrupting her, Alex asked for the exact time, as she replied it was 6:18am.
He commented: “So, Camille was born three weeks ago today at 6:13, so this time three weeks ago, I was very much in the labour suite, having an absolutely amazing time.”

An image of Alex holding his newborn appeared on the screen as he called her “incredible”. He added: “It’s been so good! So, so good and I feel like I’ve got a new lease of energy.
“Before, I was thinking, ‘Gosh, 45 this year, what’s it going to be like this time around?'” Susanna jokingly suggested he thought he needed a new project and Alex agreed.
Although Ed replied: “Can I say Alex, it’s not normal for parents to have a new lease of energy. It’s normal for them to be exhausted. Does your partner have a new lease of energy?”
Alex laughed at Ed’s remark before praising his partner Imogen. He said: “She’s just been incredible, hats off to her. If men were to have children, there would be no more children because what she did was absolutely incredible.
“Hats off to her, the cluster feeding as well, the breastfeeding, big respect for all of that and she’s persevered through it and it’s just been a joy to watch.”
Ed revealed when he had children with his wife, Yvette Cooper, she told him he was on nappy duty for the first month, as Alex agreed.
He added: “Oh I do the lot because that’s the one thing that I can do because she’s breastfeeding all the time and she (Camille) wants to be on mummy. The one thing I can do is change nappies, so I’ve been changing every single nappy.”
Susanna joked that the newborn had been keeping him busy, and he continued to comment on how incredible the past three weeks had been. He said: “I just want to actually thank The Queen Charlotte at Chelsea hospital.
“They were absolutely amazing, our midwife was incredible and big respect for the NHS for everything that they do because I just saw so many people constantly going the extra mile. So grateful.”
Camille is Alex’s second child as he welcomed a son called Cruz, who is now 14, with his ex-partner, Natalia Natkaniec.
Good Morning Britain continues weekdays on ITV from 6am.
