Hyderabad: Senior IAS officer Ronald Ross has secured a favourable order from the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), allowing him to continue his service in Telangana. The CAT has directed the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) to maintain his posting in the state.

During the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Ross was initially allotted to the Andhra Pradesh. However, by approaching the CAT, he was able to serve in Telangana for the past decade.

Last year, the DoPT issued orders reallocating several IAS officers, including Ross, to Andhra Pradesh. Following these directives, Ross reported to his new assignment in AP. However, he subsequently approached the CAT again, seeking permission to continue his service in Telangana.

After reviewing his case, the CAT ruled in favour of Ross, granting him the relief he sought and enabling him to remain working in Telangana.
